Indian Eagle-Owl – Bubo bengalensis
The indian eagle-owl, also called the rock eagle-owl or Bengal eagle-owl, is a nocturnal bird of prey belonging to the family of Striginae. It was considered a subspecies of the Grand Duke.
It is found in South Asia, where it lives as a couple.It evolves in forests and bushes of rocky hills, bush, clearings but especially near rocky places. It spends the day in the shelter of a bush or rocks near the villages.
It is mottled brown and gray and has a white spot with small black stripes on the throat.
It has a powerful cry in flight which can be heard at dawn and dusk.
