Senegal bushbaby – Galago senegalensis
It is found in forests and savannas of tropical Africa.
It is a primitive primate, which is related to the lemurs of Madagascar. The size of a rat, it measures 15 to 20 cm long for the body, and 20 to 25 for the tail.
This animal is nocturnal and arboreal. It moves by climbing or jumps and does not fall to the ground.
It is easy to tame and has a very diverse diet, almost omnivorous in captivity. Primarily insectivorous, it will also eat some vegetable products, fruits, leaves, shoots and sap.
It can live up to 10,5 years.
